Eat:
With snow still on the ground, a welcomed sign of spring will appear this weekend – Sullivan’s will be open for business! The legendary hot dog stand opens its doors on Saturday, February 28th at 8:30. Enjoy half priced hot dogs ($95 cents plus tax) through March 6th.  Hot diggety dog!

Drink:
Each Friday evening, GrandTen will open the distillery doors to those interested in a more in-depth understanding of handcrafted spirits. Offering a detailed tour, followed by a relaxed tasting of our full line of products (along with special, limited-run spirits not available anywhere else), you’ll keep a tasting glass as a souvenir. These tastings will include discussions on mixology, the history of Boston spirits, and the spirit world more generally. To keep these tastings intimate and conversation lively, seating will be initially limited to 20 reservations.

Shop:
It’s important to help support local small businesses during all this snow.  Make an effort to do a little shopping this weekend. Put on your boots, take a walk, and spend some money!   Here’s a guide to our local boutiques:https://caughtinsouthie.com/shop/shopping-expedition-south-boston

See:
Head to Suffolk University and see Bill Brett and get a signed copy of his amazing new book Boston Irish!  Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day! This reception will take place at the Suffolk store at Suffolk University on Thursday, February 26th from 5:30pm-7:30pm.

Play:
Get out there and spend!  With all this snow on the ground, local small businesses have been impacted directly.  In an effort to boost the local economy, Mayor Marty Walsh has announced an exciting new incentive called “Boston Bingo!”  This fun new game was created by the Office of Economic Development and will run through March 15th.  You can download a bingo card online or you can find paper version at local businesses.  Be prepared to complete such tasks as “Date Night”  or  “Enjoy a Cup of Neighborhood Coffee.”  When you complete a row on the card, you turn it in to be entered into a raffle for prizes.  Complete the entire board, and that enters you 7 times into the raffle!  Sweet! To download the bingo card and for rules of entry visit: http://www.cityofboston.gov/mayor/bingo.asp

More Bingo:
This ain’t your Nana’s Bingo! Gather up the gang and go play some Bingo!  This exciting night of cocktails, prizes and surprises will take place at the Seapoint Restaurant (367 East Eighth Street) on Friday, February 27th at 6:30pm.  There will be a cash bar, a chance to win prizes and lots of Bingo!  Tickets are $25 and are going fast.  You can reserve tables of 10 too!  Bring a snack to share!  For more information and to purchase tickets please contact Maria Blasi at [email protected].  All tickets must be paid for in advance.  No tickets will be sold at the door.

Enjoy:
This is your last weekend to enjoy the luxury of your spot saver!  As of Monday, Mayor Marty Walsh and the City of Boston will be out collecting anything that is left on the street.  Perfect time to get rid of some old items like an old computer monitor or TV.
