Eat:
Carbo load!  Whether you’re running the Marathon or just cheering for someone running it, you can carbo-load your way around Southie this weekend!   Here’s our list! 

Drink:
Get lai’d!  City Tap House is hosting a Polynesian outdoor luau on Saturday from 11am-4pm.  CTH is bringing a taste of Hawaii to Fort Point  with Avery Brewing Company! They’ll be christening their new patio, and transforming their fire-pit lined space into a Polynesian paradise complete with a pig roast, the piped in sounds of twinkling guitars and ukuleles, games of cornhole, tiki cocktails and seasonal brews.  Avery founder, Adam Avery, will be on-hand with some seasonal pints like Liliko’i Kepolo which just adds a tropical island flair to a spicy traditional witbier.

Shop:
Dress up!  Bringing Up Baby is fully stocked with gorgeous duds for your little ones – from florals to gingham to ties and Easter bonnets.  Right next door is Ku De Ta and they have plenty of dresses from minis to maxis in beautiful spring colors and patterns.  Stop in and treat yourself!

Fill:
Fill ‘er up!  Phillips Candy House has been stocking their shelves with thousands of chocolate treats every Spring since 1925, making this year their 92nd anniversary! Phillips Candy House’s Peeps in a Puddle are a huge hit for kids and big kids alike. The iconic Easter marshmallow treat comes hand dipped in your favorite Phillips chocolate – rich dark chocolate, smooth milk chocolate or white chocolate. Phillips also has a full assortment of chocolate treats for Easter, including old-fashioned fudge-filled  and creme-filled chocolate eggs, jelly beans, their famous turtles and Easter baskets filled with handcrafted Phillips favorites!

Pray:
Jesus is Risen!  Find out where to celebrate Easter Mass in Southie including sunrise mass at Castle Island.  Check out our list here! 

Prepare:
Order up your bagels and cream cheese for your Easter brunch from Southie’s favorite bagel shop Boston Bagel Company (753 East Broadway).  With twelve flavors to choose from like Everything, French Toast and Asiago, Boston Bagel’s bagels are the best.  A dozen of bagels is $10.  For more information visit their website!  Foodie’s has bone in spiral ham for $3.49 a pound and locally dipped chocolate macaroons $5.99 a dozen.  Miam Miam Macaronerie has adorable bunny macs for your Easter celebration in addition to their delicious creme eggs!  Place your order soon!

Make:
Make a reservation!   Easter is this week! Here are some places in Southie serving up Easter brunch! 

Hunt:
Hide and seek!  On Saturday, April 15th the Dorchester Heights Neighborhood Association along with Representative Nick Collins will host a special Easter Egg Hunt at Dorchester Heights at 10am. This event is free and open to the public!  Stop by and say hello!  We hear from a reliable source the Easter Bunny may make an appearance!

See:
The Norwegian Tall Ship Sørlandet has moored right in front of the ICA and will be here until April he Sørlandet is the oldest full rigged ship in operation today and was the first training vessel in the world to offer sail training to women. Check it out!  While you’re there check out the ICA too – on Thursday evenings it’s free!

Do:
It’s One Boston Day on Saturday.  Do a random act of kindness in the neighborhood!  What will you do?  Let us know!

Dance:
Capo is hosting a weekend long dance party at the Supper Club Lounge!  Featuring live live music Thursday, Friday, Saturday AND Sunday night this weekend! There are couches still available to reserve! Email [email protected] and don’t forget to dust off those dancing shoes!  Legends of Summer will be playing on Sunday night from 8pm-11pm.

Laugh:
Who doesn’t need a good laugh?  Southie Comedy night is hosting a show at the Seapoint on Thursday at 8pm featuring one of our favorites Will Noonan!  Head to Seapoint early for some dinner and then upstairs for some laughs!

Register:
It’s school vacation week next week!  Keep those kids busy by signing them up for camp at the Boston Athletic Club! It runs 9am-3pm Tuesday-Thursday.  For more information visit here! 

Workout:
Work off those chocolate bunnies at the Handle Bar in Southie!  They are hosting a special “Coachella” themed ride on Sunday from 10:30am-11:15am.  You can register here!
