Raise your glass to Veterans! Dorchester Brewing is throwing a Veterans Day celebration! Support American Legion’s Scholarship Fund and the LEO Support Foundation at this fun-filled event on Saturday from 12pm-9pm. Live bands, food truck, raffle prizes, trivia and 50/50 raffle!Live Music Schedule: The Fancy Bassets: 4pm-6pm and The Smoking Jackets: 6:30pm-9pm. The famous Moscow Ballet will be performing at the Boston Children’s Museum this weekend, November 11-12. This will be a great opportunity to learn more about Russian arts and culture. You will even get to meet Moscow Ballet ballerina Anna Radik who will be leading a warm up and exclusively performing Russian Folkloric dance! Learn more here.

Min Bling!  This wearable art group show will display the medium’s hottest, up-and-coming artists at the Society of Arts and Crafts. Whether you are new to craft jewelry or if you are a maker yourself, this exhibition is not to be missed. We realize the sunny days of summer are in the past but we can pretend like they’re not! Head to the Design Center for the IDBeach Event Series on Saturday! It’s the Kinda Cruise Day Party 1-5pm complete with indoor beach, tropical drinks and yacht rock! Yes, please!

Dance:
Kick it old school Southie-style at Seapoint! Revisit the good old days and enjoy Southie DJ legend Dru Errico as he spins the tunes at Seapoint on Friday beginning at 8pm. Plan on dancing the night away to such local favorites like Happy Radio and Young Hearts Run Free! No cover charge. Plenty of parking!

Run:
The DAV 5K Run to Honor Veterans is a run, walk, roll and motorcycle ride that thanks those who served and raises awareness of the issues our ill and injured veterans face every day. The race takes place at Castle Island on Saturday, November 11th at 9am. $30 To register visit here!

Register:
Put on your Santa hat, lace up those sneakers and get ready to run for a great local school – South Boston Catholic Academy. On Saturday, December 2nd at 10am join your friends and neighbors and run a 5K race along the South Boston beaches. Start and finish is at South Boston Catholic Academy at 866 East Broadway. Stick around for a post-race party with prizes, raffles, food and fun! There is also fun for the kids on deck too with two youth races. At 9:15 – 100 Meter Dash for kids (9 and under) and at 9:30 a 1/2 mile run (14 and under). If you preregister by November 30th, it’s $30. Post-registration is $35. Date Night:
Drop off the kids to the BAC for Toy Story Movie Night on Friday November 10th 5-8pm. Dress the kids in their pajamas and drop ‘em off for pizza, popcorn & a movie while you take the night off! Sleeping bags and pillows are welcome! Email Jaime to sign up!
